Full steam ahead! The foundation on the Fellowship Hall side has been poured, steel beams are in place, the education wing is framed and challenges are being tackled. As the picture shows, the roof is being removed in preparation for a much needed replacement roof for the entire structure (browse this site for more details). The Building Task Force continues to meet weekly to discuss progress, decisions, and finances. At this point, we feel positive about the process and the “tight” project management. As a team with the builders and architects, the BTF has continuously looked for ways to value engineer solutions.
Scheduling
A CLEAN-OUT PARTY is being held this weekend on Oct. 12 from 8 – 11 am to prepare for the work that is about to begin in our current Fellowship Hall. Additionally, an Oktoberfest will be held on Oct. 26th, although it will be a scaled down fellowship gathering.
Fundraising
Our most recent fundraising effort focused on funding a new front entry, as this was not included in the original scope of the project. We need $15,000 in total to fund the addition of the front entry. To date, we have raised $10,475 in cash and pledges. THANK YOU!!!!
